Do at your own risk.
Type msconfig into the run command and hit Enter, then select the tools tab. Scroll down to ''Disable UAC'' highlight then click Launch. Re-boot your machine.
BTW UAC is there for a reason. Once you get your machine setup the way you want. You hardly ever see the UAC prompt.

Having just about finished setting up a mirrored RAID array on Vista Home Premium, I thought I Would record some of things that I have found in case anybody else finds them useful.

beckyh:UAC is important. People cried out for years for better security, now they have it they want to turn it off. That amuses me, too :) In my experience, you get a few prompts for the first couple of days and then it settles down - I only get prompts now when I install new software.
