  • Wireless acceleration?

    I have a 3 year old, cheap, no-name desktop (Cisnet) that runs on XP and am using a Linksys wireless router to connect with my brand new, expensive,  Dell laptop that is using Vista Home Premium.  The no-name desktop runs a gazillion times faster than the Dell laptop.  What gives?  I am SO frustrated!  Any help you ...

    Try updating the firmware as Pipcool mentioned, you could also try resetting the router to its factory defaults to see if that solves your problem.  Have you tried plugging your Vista PC directly in to your modem to see if the connection drops there as well?  If the connection works fine when you eliminate the router, then it is time to ...
