I am having trouble opening random media player files. I have the right codecs, but it just won't play some audio\video files that it used to. Is there a way to repair WMP without reinstalling Vista?

Has anyone had any problems with vista playing itune video's. I am and i have tried doing everything suggested on their website to fix it and i still have the same problem. Does anybody know how I can copy a DVD and save it on my hard drive? All the help directions I can find tell you how to burn to another dvd. I want to save it on my hard drive. Any suggestions?

I used to use PowerDVD when I was on XP to play DVD's, MPEG etc but now I can't install it, so I tried WinDVD8 but when that trys to play something I get a message about it changing the theme, so I want something to play DVD's, MPEG's and all other video types on Vista, can anyone recommend anything apart from Mediaplayer?   TIA

I honestly don't think I should have to buy a separate IR receiver. Looks like you have no choice or return the product.

Media centre is great, I have my 360 set up as the extender, however it wont recognise all of my music files, they originally played with i tunes, however now when i go to th elibrary the media centre will only find half of them, do i need to change the format or what, please help, because it defeats the object a little bit. blindmouse 007
