What happens when you try to boot and it fails? Do you get any messges on screen at the time or in the event viewer at your next successful boot? Does the hardware fail to initialise and just switch off before the POST beep?

ive managed to crate a duel boot xp & vista but when i start my pc i only get 2 seconds to choose which one i want to boot into does anybody know how i could make this a bit longer also can i change the name instead of it saying earlier version of windows
