Hi I had a trojan, could not get the name of it, reformatted my whole hard drive, reinstalled windows vista, I have managed to lose half of my partition I think I had 128 gb but only have 68 gb, but then again it could have been 69 gb , I can't remember. I have to concur, in the last 5 years I have only had 2 virus alerts on my PC, and both times dealt with, I put this down to good security, including not opening 'dodgy' emails and not visiting 'dodgy' web sites

Had the same problem myself. Here is the fix:
Click Start
Type cmd in search field
right click on the cmd icon showing at top of search box and click on run as administrator
type cd\ press enter
type net stop winmgmt (include spaces) and press enter
type y
type cd ...

This problem is related to something called Navipromo, which is good at hiding on your systenm.
I suggest you go to a specialist cleaning site like Malware Removal and they will help you with the problem

Hi All, I also have used WLOC since day one of Visya. I do my backups to DVD. Don;t find it a hassle at all. WLOC does give you a choice of what info you wish to save. It really does sget down to what you value.

Been using Avast Pro V4.7 for a few months now and haven't had any problems with it, it's stable and does all the usual things you want from a anti-virus program!

After. Then install the Vista updater. Otherwise you will get permissions problems which you will have to alter in the registry editor. If after installing Norton, you suddenly find one day your AV stuff is turned of and you cannot turn it back on, this will be the case also, post back and I'll try and help ...
