I only have a 1.0 rating as well. I have quite an old PC but I do not have the money to upgrade so I guess I will have to go back to XP as Vista is painfully slow even though I prefer Vista over XP

After installing Vista HP32 my score was 1.0 until I loaded the ATI Catalyst 7.1 driver for the HIS X1950 pro graphics card which took the score up to 5.3. The limiting hardware now is a Core 2 Duo E6600 and an old WD Raptor 36GB which both scored 5.3. The graphics performance has moved up to 5.9 for desktop Aero and 5.8 for 3D/gaming.

Re: What's your Windows Experience Index score? Vote and let us know!

    I get 5.1 5.2

    Processor          : 5.1 5.2   Athlon X2 3800 (2.56ghz)

    Memory(RAM)    : 5.9   2gb Corsair TwinX DDR

    Graphics            : 5.9   GeForce 8800GTS 640mb)
    Gaming Graphics: 5.9   GeForce 8800GTS 640mb

    Primary hard disk: 5.4   Maxtor Diamondmax 40gb + 200gb SATA150+ Western Digital Caviar 120gb SATA300.

Amazingly when I set my RAM at a 2T command rate I only get 5.0, set it to 1T and I get 5.9 - weird.

Gaming graphics are my downfall. And I NEVER play games.
