    Re: recycle bin

In the search facility, type PERS.

You should get personalisation in the listed programs, click on that.

Under TASKS on the left hand side click change desktop icons.

you can reapply the recycle bin that way.

    hope this helps

    Re: recycle bin

MS messed up here.  Why the hell did they put DELETE in the recycle bin right click menu?  It only leads to people thinking that DELETE will delete the contents.

    Re: recycle bin

The same thing happened to me after I installed something!!!  I did the following:

Went to the control panel and in the search box type DESKTOP.  Under personilisation, click on show or hide common desktop icons.  Once in there, check the recycle bin box and apply the changes.  You should then be good to go!

    Re: recycle bin

Yes, why the hell is delete on the right click context menu for the recycle bin? I have used computers for 20 years or more and I still manage to delete the bin regularly!!!

    Re: recycle bin

I've deleted the recycle bin before, but to get it back, i used the system restore-perhaps a thought?
